Decorative Touches

Finish your basket off with ribbon tied into a bow at the top. Satin or acetate ribbon tend to wrinkle easily; wired ribbon gives the best look. Or use curling ribbon, raffia, or craft yarn to create a bow. You can add a second ribbon and/or bow around the base of the basket if you want.
 

Attach a card, note, recipe, or even a poem. Use your imagination to spruce up the basket with just about anything…garland, a pine cone, a bright piece of candy, a photo, a sprig of silk flowers, faux ivy, Mylar star spray, a balloon, etc.
